Membership with MRO is voluntary, free of charge and does not affect NERC Registration. The benefits of membership include:

  1. Input on board leadership and other key matters pertinent to the purpose and operations of the organization, like the bylaws and business plan and budget.
  2. Participation on MRO organizational groups that maintain and enhance regional reliability.
  3. Involvement in North American and Interconnection-wide technical assessments and policy development.
  4. Network with peers and associate with a regional organization dedicated to improving reliability for the benefit of all end-users.

MRO has two classes of members: members that have voting rights and adjunct members that can participate, but not vote. To be eligible for membership, an entity must demonstrate that it belongs to one of the seven industry sectors in the MRO Region or qualifies as an adjunct member.
