The Midwest Reliability Organization is hosting its second CIP workshop of the year on December 1st, 2009 at the Holiday Inn Select in Bloomington, MN. The workshop's focus will be on the following topics:  

  • CIP Spot Check Panel Q & A.
  • Lessons learned on CIP spot checks.
  • Discussion on CIP-004 Automation.
  • Discussion on High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP)/Intentional Electromagnetic Interference (IEMI).
  • Overview of Geomagnetic Storms
  • Efforts to Protect from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP).
  • Technical Feasibility Exception (TFE) - What, Where, When, and How.
  • Discussion on CIP-002 version 3 Asset Classification.
