The Wind Generation Modeling Task Force (WGMTF) has completed the assigned work as of October 2008.
The purpose of the WGMTF was to research and develop guidelines for consistent wind generation modeling to be used in the analysis of the reliability of the interconnected transmission system. The WGMTF was responsible for creating a User Manual on wind generation modeling, which provides guidance in evaluating and selecting wind generation models for use in power flow and dynamic models built by the MRO-MBS. The guidelines and procedures contained in this User Manual are intended to minimize modeling discrepancies and improve the wind generation modeling for MRO reliability assessments. Maintenance of the manual will be undertaken by the Model Building Subcommittee. |
